1.
Words and music by Nolan Randall You want a soul of virtue in this life you choose All of these things that search you Will not make you lose On top of everything that you have looked upon The twilight resonates and separates the dawn To hustle in overdrive far down the line Do what you can to survive, harmonic sign So many places you are chasing all alone It's the basis of the faces of your home Right across the sky, time to signify Always worth the try, what you can apply Sweep away debris, your reality Seek what you can see, claim your victory To hustle in overdrive far down the line Do what you can to survive, harmonic sign So many places you are chasing all alone It's the basis of the faces of your home The faces of your own The faces of your own The faces of your own
2.
Words and music by Nolan Randall There's a lot of motion going through my mind Now my soul is searching for what i might find When will it be my time? Who's to say I'm due? Everyone is out there, some are lonely too Love desolation keeps me wondering why My situation keeps on passing me by It never dies One two three four five six, seven eight nine ten Hard to find the right fit, someone's lost again Love desolation seems so high in the sky This admiration seems to look in my eye Love desolation, not the moment to cry My proclamation, not your average guy Now I see I need to find harmony, now I see It is a two-way street, only way to go Gotta work it both ways, that's when I will know Love desolation keeps me wondering why My situation keeps on passing me by Love desolation seems so high in the sky This inspiration seems to look in my eye It never dies

Words and music by Nolan Randall So you think you've got your answer to be serious It always has been so mysterious I don't know what you like So I'll just step aside into the night So I heard you haven't gotten to the time of day Still, you haven't gotten much left to say I always keep in mind some things are left behind And i stroll into the night 'Cause i'm searching for a light To see the ocean through another view All day long it wants me Somehow it still haunts me I want to know what's right I want the things to satisfy Roaming through the storm into the night So you want the easy way to live a better life You're running out of different ways to hide I never understood, and never knew you would Try to reach a higher height As I stroll into the night All I want to do is find something new All day long it wants me And somehow it still haunts me I want to know what's right I want the things to satisfy Roaming through the storm into the night I'm roaming through the storm into the night All day long it wants me And somehow it still haunts me I want to know what's right I want the things to satisfy Roaming through the storm into the night I'm roaming through the storm into the night Roaming through the storm into the night

Isolate 04:10
Words and music by Nolan Randall Gotta ride it solo even if it feels like slow-mo Isolate along the way On the way from somewhere Chosen ones are all unaware There's a home for them to stay Every time I hear the song that is playing It's all the magic that will never end Can you understand what it is I'm saying? Take it in the message I will send From the pain of losing, to a beggar fit for choosing Love the time I spend alone Never thought of quitting Always thinking of what's fitting Do what I can on my own Every time I hear the song that is playing It's all the magic that will never end Can you understand what it is I'm saying? Take it in the message I depend Feeling like I'm getting stronger The independency is on my side Moving on to what really matters to me Now is not the, not the time to hide Every time I hear the song that is playing It's all the magic that will never end Can you understand what it is I'm saying? Take it in the message I will send Every time I hear the song that is playing It's all the magic that will never end Can you understand what it is I'm saying? Take it in the message I depend

Words and music by Nolan Randall He's old inside his soul, been that way from beginning He dared to go somewhere to keep his planet spinning Serenading the unborn child He's gonna hustle into the wild We haven't got a clue what he's to do for disciplining Among the old and wise, there's got to be a reason He had to compromise some of The things that please him Looking over the underpass To try a way that will everlast You move ahead to simulcast the event of the season The weight of all that's great will keep him operating It beats the nosebleed seats the crowd is ventilating Everyone will investigate He'll see if he can communicate We'll get a scout to recruit him Despite his signs of aging Among the old and wise, there's got to be a reason He had to compromise some of The things that please him Looking over the underpass To try a way that will everlast You move ahead to simulcast the event of the season Among the old and wise, there's got to be a reason He had to compromise some of The things that please him Looking over the underpass To try a way that will everlast You move ahead to simulcast the event of the season

All Hail 03:58
Words and music by Nolan Randall You were the voice inside the head of teenage dreams All that you've done is more important than it seems Hearts are aching, nothing's making any sense at all We're all confused by the way that you had to fall Too many lessons to be learned So many of us are concerned All hail, the one who gave us promise All hail, the one who helped to calm us Say hello to heaven if you pass the black hole sun It's a crying shame your time has come When I was fourteen, I was driven by your voice I knew from that point on, I had to make a choice Adolescence caught the essence of my destiny You helped to shape the person i was meant to be Why did you have to take your life? We would've helped you in your fight All hail, the one who gave us promise All hail, the one who helped to calm us Say hello to heaven if you pass the black hole sun It's a crying shame your time has come All hail, the one who gave us promise All hail, the one who helped to calm us Say hello to heaven if you pass the black hole sun It's a crying shame your time has come
7.
Words and music by Nolan Randall Goin' down, goin' down on my feet Gotta get that rhythm goin' Take a ride, take a ride in the street Gotta get that music flowin' We've got another way to Get by when the rhythm comes in All we want to do is get back from where we've been What you want, and what you see What you need to be so free You may come and you may go You may even take it slow It's not you, and it's not me It's not where we want to be You've gotta get into a rhythm Feel alive, feel alive in the heat Movin' up and i feel it this time Fly away, fly away with the fleet Moving up through the mountains we climb So many of us want to Get by when the rhythm comes in What we want to do it seems like it's such a sin What you want, and what you see What you need to be so free You may come and you may go You may even take it slow It's not you, and it's not me It's not where we want to be You've gotta get into a rhythm Now, you've gotta get into a rhythm What you want, and what you see What you need to be so free You may come and you may go You may even take it slow It's not you, and it's not me It's not where we want to be You've gotta get into a rhythm Yeah, you've gotta get into a rhythm What you want, and what you see What you need to be so free You may come and you may go You may even take it slow It's not you, and it's not me It's not where we want to be You've gotta get into a rhythm Now, you've gotta get into a rhythm You've gotta get into a rhythm Yeah, you've gotta get into a rhythm
8.
Words and music by Nolan Randall Through the thoughts within my mind I gaze up and ahead All the solace you can find Feed what needs to be fed Haven't got a car to ride But I never go out of the concrete inside The inside guide Taking what I have to give in this life I live Gaining everything I visualize tonight See all the affirmation tracking all I see Me deep in meditation tracking what's for me Now the new age will begin A new thought to supply Little view for where I've been So I can humanize Gotta pay a price to grow It's all part of a powerful feeling to go That's what I know Taking what I have to give in this life I live Gaining everything I visualize tonight See all the affirmation tracking all I see Me deep in meditation tracking what's for me See all the affirmation tracking all I see Me deep in meditation tracking what's for me For me, for me See all the affirmation tracking all I see Me deep in meditation tracking what's for me See all the affirmation tracking all I see Me deep in meditation tracking what's for me For me, for me
9.
Words and music by Nolan Randall Up and down the highway With all the places that we wanna go Livin' off the backseat And now I'm lookin' for a stone to throw Drivin' down the valley But now I'm thinkin' that it looks as though Times are getting warmer As it moves into the afterglow Moving from town to town to find a living end With all the energy and money that we'll spend You have to find a reason why it takes so long It doesn't matter when you have done nothing wrong Up and down the highway With all the places that we wanna know Livin' off the backseat, and now I'm fallin' like a domino Drivin' up the mountain, it's so easy to let it overflow Up and down the highway As it moves into the afterglow Gazing the scenery to find a way to live Looking at what you have from what you've got to give The world is moving, and you'll have to follow suit Results are based on the nature of your commute Traveling for this fleet with more than meets the eye Leaving to bind the keys, and find a reason why Some say the road is long, it always takes awhile Seems like the hardest thing to do is go the mile Up and down the highway With all the places that we wanna go Livin' off the backseat, and now I'm fallin' like a domino Drivin' down the valley But now I'm thinkin' that it looks as though Times are getting warmer As it moves into the afterglow

Movement 04:10
Words and music by Nolan Randall You haven't got the will to make it All of your worries comes around No way you're gonna wanna fake it Gotta stand your ground It takes a long time to discover Try to be patient in control Look everywhere to find a lover Gotta free your soul There's something in your eyes I have never seen It's hard to recognize where you've never been You've got to realize what comes in between The world won't sympathize, so you must be clean Seems like society is falling They haven't got a fucking clue You know for sure that it's your calling What you have to do There's something in your eyes I have never seen It's hard to recognize where you've never been You've got to realize what comes in between The world won't sympathize, so you must be clean Yeah, clean Time to move on from where you started Don't waste the space in your own life Forever you'll be open hearted And it feels alright There's something in your eyes I have never seen It's hard to recognize where you've never been You've got to realize what comes in between The world won't sympathize, so you must be clean
11.
Words and music by Nolan Randall I'm going through the ocean in the sky To look around for what I'm yearning All the while I'm trying to get by Someone's out there longing to reply She's hiding in the land of wonder Just like me, she's dying to get high What I know on where to go I wanna go home Where I need to be Won't you comfort me Whatever brought me here will surely clear the fear I said, I wanna go home It's something that I want to try and find Though I might have to toll my losses Anything to give me peace of mind Hoping that the stars will be aligned To find a woman I'll relate to So that we can treat each other kind What I know on where to go I wanna go home Where I need to be Won't you comfort me See what I can see Time to set me free Whatever brought me here will surely clear the fear I said I wanna go home What I know on where to go I wanna go home Where I need to be Won't you comfort me See what I can see And time to set me free Whatever brought me here will surely clear the fear I said, I wanna go home I gotta go home I gotta go home I said, I gotta go home

Better Place 03:22
Words and music by Nolan Randall All in all, what we need is covered out there On the wall, from the lies we see everywhere Big or small, many things we need to prepare Hear the call, of the people we want to spare What is true? What are we to do? View the border, new world order Lost in a fall from grace Make the motion, state the notion We need a better place In the street, silent people carry no weight Feel the heat, of the foolish world they create Take a seat, wait for this to all dissipate Friends we meet, look for something to celebrate Walking through Parkdale Avenue View the border, new world order Lost in a fall from grace Make the motion, state the notion We need a better place View the border, new world order Lost in a fall from grace Make the motion, state the notion We need a better place View the border, new world order Lost in a fall from grace Make the motion, state the notion We need a better place

Same Game 03:30
Words and music by Nolan Randall All cards on the table, fill it up this time A way to read between the lines You're willing and able, counting every dime Ignoring all the warning signs Never enough to call your bluff to make it Winners are losers when you abuse to take it It's all the same when you play your game And you refuse to fake it We've got a stranger on the rise See all of your winnings, how they make you feel You're thinking of another deal Recall your beginnings, spinning like a wheel No matter what they're gonna steal Never enough to call your bluff to make it Winners are losers when you abuse to take it It's all the same when you play your game And you refuse to fake it We've got a stranger on the rise Never enough to call your bluff to make it Winners are losers when you abuse to take it It's all the same when you play your game And you refuse to fake it We've got a stranger on the rise
14.
Words and music by Nolan Randall It's a resurrection in the right direction All has been forgiven, no more will be hidden Celebrate the greatness, chariot awaits us Throw away the wreckage, formulate the message Soul of the human race to overthrow the waste Far from the strangest place, the essence we embrace In a world of wonder, we awake our slumber Magnify our vision, make a pure decision Trash left without a trace to make for better space Praise all that has some grace The essence we embrace When we're in dire straits, we'll cut right to the chase Can't find a fitter case, the essence we embrace Elevate the worthy, medicate our mercy Cue the sound of honour, wine was made from water Soul of the human race to overthrow the waste Far from the strangest place, the essence we embrace When we're in dire straits, we'll cut right to the chase Praise all that has some grace, the essence we embrace The essence we embrace
15.
Karma Slave 03:07
Words and music by Nolan Randall Karma slave seems like he's moving For something he might get He knows everything that's brewing Before he'll place a bet Think he might give up the game Because what he does makes him feel insane All alone in the jungle looking for an answer He doesn't give up that easily 'Cause he's not the same as you and me Driven to lengths of society There are no misfortunes he shall foresee 'Cause he's a karma slave by his own choice He's a karma slave, it's his own voice He's a karma slave, he'll make some noise A karma slave, a karma slave Nothing made him wonder why He never did the opposite He did more for you and I than He ever would even admit Sometimes he will doubt the cause Because what he hears is not an applause Never moving enough to call himself a dancer He doesn't give up that easily 'Cause he's not the same as you and me Driven to lengths of society There are no misfortunes he shall foresee 'Cause he's a karma slave by his own choice He's a karma slave, it's his own voice He's a karma slave, he'll make some noise A karma slave, a karma slave He doesn't give up that easily 'Cause he's not the same as you and me Driven to lengths of society There are no misfortunes he shall foresee 'Cause he's a karma slave by his own choice He's a karma slave, it's his own voice He's a karma slave, he'll make some noise A karma slave, a karma slave
16.
Words and music by Nolan Randall It's a weird aroma on your winter coat All the people want to manifest an anecdote Get a pack of Belmonts, it's an addiction There are some that want to Give you their own depiction You've got a way of dealing With the trouble in your life Caffeine and nicotine may help you on your ride They smell a scent and feel that You are among the lower class The way of disarray may fall into the past Alright, you light right outside the entry Ok, they may say it's elementary Take care, beware, what you have become You know, although you're not the only one Take a look ahead now for what you'll endure Gotta find a reason to be mindful of a cure You admit an odour on your jacket stench What you have to do is Look for something that will quench All these years you have found out The person you're meant to be The roads and all the loads you carry to be free It's not a reflection of the habit you have to form Truth told you're not so bold It's only clothes you've worn Alright, you light right outside the entry Ok, Gordie, ahead by a century They say you'll pay all in the long run You know, although you're not the only one Alright, you light right outside the entry Ok, Jose, jealous ones still envy They say you'll pay, damage that you've done You know, although you're not the only one You know, although you're not the only one

Virgin Lungs 03:27
Words and music by Nolan Randall & Terry Reid All these clowns all over the place Looking for another soul to erase Why should they all be in our face? Uninspired with what they embrace Hard to mend in a world that's cold So much bullshit we've been told Not as good as the days of old How will all of this shit unfold? Blind to the lives of the people around Forcing it all into the ground Showcasing a terrible sound Waiting for the day when we're homeward bound Never thought it would come to this But I can't help but reminisce Thinking of the days of Mr. Swiss And now it's easy to dismiss Well, you can not deny it And we will not be quiet Well, you can not deny it And we will not be quiet Seems like it's all one big joke We fell asleep while they awoke The field has all gone up in smoke Feed the broke before you stroke the choke Take a long trip down memory lane Substance was not hard to obtain After all, we couldn't complain Now we feel like we're goin' insane Another way for you to vent When you wish a prime min was the president Far from being heaven sent Hope the worst, it will circumvent Progress seems so far away Gotta try to wait another day Media outlets and the people they prey They don't care what the people say Well, you can not deny it And we will not be quiet Well, you can not deny it And we will not be quiet Let's figure out why they're all so bad Having faith that it's a passing fad Day by day it seems more sad To make it real, they need to be mad The front of the line just sounds so fake Sounding like shit is a piece of cake They don't give a fuck about what they make As long as they've got money to take History has seen this before What we take in should not be a chore Don't wanna hear this anymore No interest in what they have in store Word of advice if you're running the show You need to hear something you already know Deteriorating the status quo Will not give the people room to grow Well, you can not deny it And we will not be quiet Well, you can not deny it And we will not be quiet Entertainment district Parkdale Real shit Mr. Swiss
18.
Words and music by Nolan Randall There's a place that you can go See some people that you know Where you will never feel alone All the brewers never stop Fill the tank right to the top Filtration gets into the zone And when you hear the bottling line From sunrise to sunset You'll see them working overtime Doing it all every step Welcome to the roundhouse, enough to go around Meet me at the roundhouse You're lost, but now you're found From the wonders of team clean To the events we have seen The working class gets a reward Friendly service of retail Expectations are prevailed And then you check into the store And when you see the trucks on the road They gotta distribute the dream The office carries quite the load It's not as easy as it seems Welcome to the roundhouse, enough to go around Meet me at the roundhouse You're lost, but now you're found Now you're found Welcome to the roundhouse, enough to go around Meet me at the roundhouse You're lost, but now you're found Now you're found Say hello to the good beer folks Different people have different strokes The fifth ingredient, well worth the time that's spent A vintage pilsner recipe, always a cold one next to me Do one thing really well, the whistle rings the bell New accounts from the sales reps Getting it done step by step They always like to set the tone Someone has to fill the kegs Move around on their own legs To pay for the place they call home And when you see the canning line From sunrise to sunset You'll see them working overtime Gotta go for what they'll get Welcome to the roundhouse, enough to go around Meet me at the roundhouse You're lost, but now you're found Now you're found Welcome to the roundhouse, enough to go around Meet me at the roundhouse, You're lost, but now you're found Now you're found

about

This fourth full-length album from Plaid On Flannel was released on July 29, 2018. It marks a return to Plaid On Flannel being a solo act with Nolan Randall recording the entire 18-song album as a one man band. A record that took two years to make, it features songs from all over the rock and roll spectrum. From the alt-rock anthem "All Hail", to the gritty hard rocker "Love Desolation", the album takes on the sonic texture of rock and roll. At the same time, it explores a variety of styles like the reggae of "Into The Night", the indie folk of "Up And Down The Highway", and the surf rock of "Isolate". And much like Plaid On Flannel's previous releases, there is an abundance of guitar solos and riffs to melt your face off. If alternative indie blues rock is what you desire, than you must get this album which is available digitally!
